Goat meat is eaten by more people in the world than any other meat. It is exceptionally low in fat and calories, but high in protein and iron (see table below), and therefore particularly healthy and nutritious. |

Here is how you
can buy
our goat meat:
Capretto: un-weaned kids, dressed weight 10-12kg,
is only available in spring (End of September til
Mid November). Sold as whole carcasses or sides, 6-way cut or
"kitchen-ready" (Legs, Shanks, Racks, Loin chops and Forequarter
cutlets, all tray-packed and labelled).
Chevon: 5
to 15 months of age, dressed weight 12-20kg,
is available all year round. Sold as whole
carcasses, sides or "kitchen-ready" (Legs, Shanks, Racks, Loin chops
and Forequarter cassoulet, all tray-packed and labelled).
Goat meat:
up to 3 years of age, is available occasionally. Sold mainly as
"Cassoulet" (2inch pieces bone-in, for slow cooked dishes like
casseroles, curry, tagine).
Goat sausages
("Snags") are made from the trim of the carcasses and sometimes from
older goats. They are available all year round in different flavours (Moroccan,
Greek style, Red Wine & Garlic)
Our animals are slaughtered at DBC (Bunbury), and from there
are directly delivered to butchers. The meat
we sell to private customers and restaurants
is processed by a licensed butcher, Cowaramup Meat
Specialists. You can buy our (frozen) meat and sausages directly from
our farm, at the Farmers Markets in Margaret River and at the Vasse
Markets in Busselton. |
